Salt-N-Pepa & DJ Spinderella received their Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame along side hip hop legends MC Lyte, Roxanne Shanté and Yo-Yo . The honor came right on time with this being #hiphophistorymonth.
The group consisting of members Salt (Cheryl James), Pepa(Sandra Denton), and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper) formed in New York in 1985.
They were the first female rap act to achieve gold and platinum status with the success of their album Hot, Cool & Vicious, which sold more than 1 million copies in the US.
Congratulations to these hip hop pioneers for yet another major achievement.
