We’re absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of the iconic Irene Cara.
Cara is best known for her roles as Sparkle and Coco Hernandez in Fame. Cara sang and co-wrote the song "Flashdance... What a Feeling" from the film Flashdance. She won an Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1984.
Her publicist confirmed her passing at age 63.
